NANCHANG, Oct. 14 (Xinhua) -- Have you ever wondered how the journey of a grain of rice from a seed in the field to the fragrant steamed rice on one's table gradually unfolds?

Each grain of rice served on human's dining-table has gone through a series of operations from the paddy fields to processing plants.

A photographer pictured the production process of rice in east China's Jiangxi Province from July to October, presenting the journey of rice before the upcoming World Food Day, an international day marked worldwide every year on Oct. 16.
